This policy explains how SimplerWills (“we”, “us”), operator of simplerwills.co.uk, collects and uses your personal data when you enquire through this page. SimplerWills is the data controller responsible for your information.

When you complete our form we collect your name, email address, phone number, postcode, and the type of will you are interested in, together with your marketing and SMS consent choices. We also record technical and campaign information such as the page you used, advertising identifiers (e.g. UTM tags, Google and Facebook click IDs), your approximate country (derived from your IP address), and your browser type.

How and why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and provide your will — on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in serving you.
• Marketing email or SMS — only where you have given consent. You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Analytics and advertising cookies — only with your consent via our cookie banner. Until you consent, these do not run.

Who we share it with

We use carefully selected processors who act on our instructions under data-processing agreements: Vercel (hosting, EU region), Supabase (database, EU region), Resend (email delivery), Google (analytics and advertising), and Cloudflare (spam protection). Some processors are based outside the UK/EU; where that happens, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent safeguards. We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data only as long as necessary — typically up to 24 months after your last contact with us, unless you become a customer or the law requires us to keep it longer.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our use of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time.
